Philips-branded smart bulbs are made by Signify, the Dutch lighting company behind Philips Hue and WiZ. This range sits apart from Hue and is aimed at simple, hub-free smart lighting.

The Philips products in our catalogue are smart LED bulbs, including E26 models, that connect to your existing Wi-Fi with no bridge needed. Listings mention control with voice or app, activation with motion, and Matter compatibility. With Matter, the bulbs can be added to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa or SmartThings. Because they connect directly over Wi-Fi, they do not use the Hue Bridge or Zigbee, so they do not appear in the Hue app.

These bulbs suit people who want a recognised lighting brand for a few lamps or fixtures without building a full Hue system. For larger installations with many lights and accessories, a Hue setup may be the better long-term choice.
