SONOFF SenseGuard Presence Core joins Matter over Wi-Fi
Announced Sonoff
SONOFF is selling the SenseGuard Presence Core 24G (model SNWF-06P24), a Matter over Wi-Fi human presence sensor. The manufacturer's US product page lists a manufacturer price of $24.90 and describes 24GHz radar detection with a range of up to 4 meters, seven configurable detection zones, ambient light sensing, and built-in spatial learning that filters regular motion from fixed sources such as fans and curtains.
Because it uses Wi-Fi for Matter, the sensor does not need a Thread border router. SONOFF says it works with Matter platforms including Apple Home and SmartThings, and also supports Home Assistant and openHAB through WebSocket, MQTT and open APIs. Zone setup, detection calibration, light calibration, logs and OTA updates are handled in a local web console on the home network.
The page notes the sensor is USB-powered (5V/1A), cannot reliably detect a sleeping person, and does not filter pets or robot vacuums. SONOFF does not publish a separate launch-date press release on the product page; sales availability is what the listing shows.
