Philips Hue light firmware adds Matter 1.4.1 support
Announced Philips Hue
Philips Hue has published software version 1.164.2 for Hue lights with hardware platform version 100b-129. Hue's lamp release notes date it October 5, 2026. The update adds support for Matter 1.4.1 and Matter Apple adaptive lighting. It also lets lights run Zigbee and Matter at the same time when they're used in bridgeless mode, alongside bug fixes and stability improvements.
The release notes don't say which Hue models use hardware platform 100b-129. To get updates as soon as they're available, Hue recommends turning on automatic updates in the Hue app (Settings > Software update > Automatic update).
