Aqara LED Strip T2 launches in China with Thread for Matter

Aqara announced the LED Strip T2 on October 21, 2026, saying it launched in China on October 20. The multicolor strip shows 16 million colors and tunable white from 2000K to 9000K, with 108 LEDs and 18 separately controlled zones per meter, up to 1,750 lumens and a CRI of Ra90. It comes in 3m and 5m lengths and adds AI-generated light effects from text prompts, color picking from photos, and music sync.

The strip uses Zigbee by default for the full feature set in the Aqara Home app. It can be switched to Thread to connect to Matter and third-party smart home platforms, and Aqara says it works with Apple Home, including Adaptive Lighting.

The announcement covers the launch in China only. Aqara hasn't announced pricing or release dates for other regions, including the US.
