Heiman Matter Devices

Heiman is a Chinese manufacturer of security and safety sensors, including smoke, gas, carbon monoxide and water-leak detectors, and supplies devices for many smart-home platforms.

The Heiman product in our catalogue is a battery-powered mini fire detector, which the listing positions for homes as well as travel and RVs. It lists compatibility with SmartThings and Home Assistant, and the site's listing identifies it as a Matter-compatible device, allowing alerts to be used in automations alongside other devices, for example turning on lights or sending a notification when smoke is detected.

Heiman suits people who want connected safety sensors that work with open and mainstream platforms. A smart detector supplements standard smoke alarms; it should not replace detectors required by local building or fire codes. Check the listing for certification, battery life and the protocol and controller it requires before buying, and test detectors regularly.
